Lady and the Tramp
by Kim Reale Johnson

This is taken from an actual photo of her
Grandmother. The photo was taken by
Kim's Grandfather when he was courting
her. The dog was a stray that took up
with them that day. He jumped in the
boat with Kim's Grand mom and from
that moment on became a member of
the family. Kim wanted to recreate it in a
painting

Acrylic on Canvas
The Mud Puddle
by Kim Reale Johnson

Ms. Johnson collects a lot of antique glass
negatives. This painting is an idea from one of
them. She loves the little boy deeply absorbed
watching his little hand made boat, pushing it with
a twig to get some movement out of it while his
brother or friend is distracted looking away in the
distance.... probably mom is calling them in both
for lunch or supper

Dock at local lake, Alberta  I look for the
artistic shot in nature photography that
looks like someone painted, composed,
positioned it that way - but this is an
actual shot of the dock and water taken
from directly above. I love the color of
the pipe running through underneath
and the vine that winds itself and even
encompasses the fake leave splotch on
one of the boards of the dock. Summer

I use this as my signature image. I designed
it for my own use on my artwork, writing and
even have it tattooed on my shoulder.
"My Angel"; Coloured Pencils on Paper.
This drawing is inspired by my
fascination with all things 'otherworldly'.
I have painted and drawn many
portraits, most of which are of people
who have passed over.  Whenever I
paint these portraits I feel a sense
of the spirit of the one who has lived
here and moved on to the next life.
Being an angel, I felt that one cannot
look upon the face of an angel and
so she has turned her head to spare us
the intensity of her gaze. But we
can still feel her beauty and movement,
and a sense of human vulnerability.

Below are "The People That Melt in The Rain" by Mike Dubisch and Carolyn Watson
Dubisch The moment that 12 year old Laura arrives in her new home town of Deluge,
a rain of large green frogs falls from the sky. In the days that follow, she discovers a
forest of tiny creatures in her neighbor's cupboard and a terrible curse upon the
whole town. An old witch and the town's weatherman struggle for power and it's up to
Laura to save the people that melt in the rain

"There's a Dinosaur in My Backyard!"
After Molly experiences the magic of
the dinosaur bone she found, she
makes new discoveries and best of all:
a new friend.
"Secret Headquarters"
Ah, the imagination. Where all you
need to modify yourself into a
superhero are a sheet and some
goggles.
"Moon Gazing"
There are moments in our childhood that we will never forget:
Christmas morning, your first bike, an event at school. But for
Sam, it's looking at the full moon with his best friend. When
we become adults, we may see little things that remind us of
– even magnify – those moments in time. For Sam, a full
moon will always hold so much meaning to him as an adult.

Watercolor quilts get their name from their resemblance to watercolor paintings.  They are designed and
assembled from 2" squares of  fabric  to form impressionistic scenes. They make wonderfully colorful wall
