Mj (Mary Gillot) writes the following about herself:

Art, art, art. Writing. Creativity-- as much as possible. I love it more than sleep. Sometimes I pick
up my guitar, but not often enough. I sing. I write songs sometimes. I write music that is too
complicated for me to play. My son and I have jam sessions with our many instruments, some of
which he invented. They are awful and wonderful.

People always giggle when they walk into my house. It's full of art, art supplies, angels, musical
instruments, and colored lights. Or maybe they're only giggling at the mess.
(What else does Mary say?)

Ms Gillot states, "Lines can be both versatile and powerful. A
simple black line, curved and shaded, can form a work of art that
evokes any number of ideas or emotions in the observer. A line of
words, carefully crafted, can transport the reader virtually
anywhere. This program will explore the fine lines of creative
artists, illustrators and writers."

I began storytelling in 1982 while working as an assistant dean at a small Christian college in
California. I found that if I had a story when I taught and it specifically related to the teaching, a
disinterested student could become a listener and a learner in that moment. I can remember

my literary agent - a really good one, who represented some heavy hitters - was cross with me

Who could blame her, really? How could she know I was the kind of person who was THIS

person, as long as they never gave up, genuinely CAN make a difference in the whole wide
world, no matter how small they may feel?
