author member will ask questions in turn and if time allows a follow
up one too.

Fran Lewis writes: "I was born in the South Bronx, I grew up with people from many ethnic
backgrounds. I learned to play and work with children in my school that came from other
countries and different places.

I was always over weight as a child and got picked on a lot by the other children in my class and
even my teachers. I found it hard to do many of the sporting activities that my sister and
cousins could do. I learned at an early age that kids can be mean and I promised myself that I
would never retaliate or do mean things to other kids in return".

Laurie & Co.at Robin Falls Kids celebrates the books we love for our
whole lives! This 30 minute show airs on the 4th Monday of each
month at 3 PM Central on Robin Falls Kids.  If you're an author of a
very special book, Laurie wants to introduce you and your book to
her listeners, and likely, someone who will love it forever!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My name is Laurie Zieber.  I suppose I'm much like you.

I’ve raised two kids. I'm married to a man whom I deeply love. We
share a home with a full menagerie of pets.

When she moved to Florida twenty years ago, Dellani Oakes had no idea that the history was
so rich and fascinating. Visiting St. Augustine for the first time about fifteen years ago, she felt
the allure of the country's oldest city, deciding then to write a story based there. It wasn't until
nearly twelve years later that "Indian Summer" took its final form.

Dellani is a happily married mother of four, Mary Kay consultant, substitute teacher and former
English teacher. When she isn't being one of the above, she is an avid writer,

David Wayne Boop was born July 23, 1968 in Bridgeport, CT. He was adopted to
non-denominational Christian ministers. He has no siblings that he knows of. In 1980, his family
moved to Kronenwetter, WI and graduated from D.C. Everest High School in '86. He's lived in
five states (CT, WI, TN, CO, AZ,) thirteen cities and traveled to 47 out of 50 states not including
DC.

Dave has had over 50 jobs in his working career. He attests that to being easily bored. (Most
people, however, would say it's due to his inability to respect authority.) The jobs have varied
across a wide field, though many would fall under the entertainment umbrella, the weirdest
being Beetlejuice impersonator. His list of interests and fields of study run the gambit of geeky.

Beginning in 2010 David Boop will Host "Researching Your Speculative
Tale" at Red River Writers Live on the 5th Thursday of months with the
same.

A story that doesn’t ring true will get turned down at publishers and
magazines. Speculative fiction requires more research than others
because your reality has to be perfect before you reader will accept the
fantasy. Science, legends and eras all add to the willing suspense of
disbelief. How best is that accomplished? Tune in as my esteemed
colleagues take you places in your fiction you wouldn't believe you’d go.
Each show will focus on a different genre: First up – Science Fiction.

Mj (Mary Gillot) writes the following about herself:

Art, art, art. Writing. Creativity-- as much as possible. I love it more than sleep. Sometimes I pick
up my guitar, but not often enough. I sing. I write songs sometimes. I write music that is too
complicated for me to play. My son and I have jam sessions with our many instruments, some of
which he invented. They are awful and wonderful.

People always giggle when they walk into my house. It's full of art, art supplies, angels, musical
instruments, and colored lights. Or maybe they're only giggling at the mess.
(What else does Mary say?)
Author/Illustrator Mj Gillot Host - Fine Lines on the 5th Wednesday
of months with 5 Wednesdays at Red River Writers Live.

Ms Gillot states, "Lines can be both versatile and powerful. A
simple black line, curved and shaded, can form a work of art that
evokes any number of ideas or emotions in the observer. A line of
words, carefully crafted, can transport the reader virtually
anywhere. This program will explore the fine lines of creative
artists, illustrators and writers."

CJ was raised in a tiny town in Massachusetts where his family has lived for three generations.
When CJ was a boy, the family had a variety of animals and boasted a poultry incubator large
enough to hatch a chick for every resident of the town – all at one time. Although it was never a
professional enterprise, the family continued to raise animals for many years and CJ developed
a love for the outdoors and wildlife. He supports a number of environmental causes today.

CJ wrote his first book in 1979 while bored during school hours, but at that time writing was
second to golf. CJ practiced hard daily and eventually entertained hopes of playing
professionally. In 1985 he chose Southeastern Massachusetts University (now UMASS
Dartmouth) over golf and studied Business Management which advanced his career in
computer technology.

I love a challenge. I hate to fail. I am easily distracted.

I believe the best of people. I am often accused of naivete' and I don't care.

I don’t handle disappointment well. I'm terribly annoyed by arrogance.

I tell the truth.

I'm fascinated by the human race and I listen carefully when someone is speaking to me.

* One-on-one interview with an unknown Mystery or Thriller writer
* I will read the book beforehand and we will focus on the book
* (1) Author and I will be on air for the majority of the 30 minutes so this
will be good exposure and good practice if you haven't done radio before.
* Fan questions will be taken for about 8 mins at end of show
* Shows are recorded so fans can listen live or listen later
* I plan to only take books that I enjoy, so I will be a very supportive
interviewer.

Mosetta writes:  My first book was published when I was about
ten years old. But, I have been writing since I could hold a
pencil. I cannot remember a time that I did not write.

When I was very little, I wrote The Pink Elephant. The Disney film, "Dumbo" inspired the story. I
remember that when my mother took me to see it, she also bought me the book "Dumbo, the
Flying Elephant" written by Helen Aberson and illustrated by Harold Perl.

I didn't understand how the book became a film, but I knew that I wanted one of my plays or
books to become a film....

Story tellers with Melea Brock is a new show with details to

Melea's Goal taken from her own words:
Master storyteller, Melea J. Brock, has revived the
all-but-lost art of storytelling for both adults and children.
She is a writer, an author, and an extraordinary performer.
Join her in celebration of this powerful art form. ... for
storytellers and lovers of this simple people art-form of
storytelling... Melea's hope is to encourage the storyteller in
you!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Melea Brock writes "Through stories I've written, folktales of old and true-life stories, I dip down
into the Truth of life for my listeners. I confront, in a non-threatening way, relationships,
beauty, worry, our gifts and talents, forgiveness, healing, the foolishness of life, God's
constant presence. Through storytelling, I offer the listener a face-to-face, ear-to-ear, heart-to-
heart opportunity to be still and hear what needs to be heard.

I began storytelling in 1982 while working as an assistant dean at a small Christian college in
California. I found that if I had a story when I taught and it specifically related to the teaching, a
disinterested student could become a listener and a learner in that moment. I can remember
my first story's telling, “The King Who Waits,” as if it were yesterday. Many  ....."
